Overview: A significant threat of severe weather is expected late this afternoon and into this evening for the region. Strong damaging winds and tornadoes are the main severe weather threats.

Severe Weather: Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop later this afternoon and continue into this evening. Damaging winds in excess of 60 miles an hour are the main severe weather threat today. There is also an escalated risk of tornado activity. Hail is not expected to be a significant threat today. For the most up to date weather information, monitor our website at www.weather.gov/phi

Heavy Rainfall & Localized Flooding: Thunderstorms today will have the potential to product torrential rainfall and there is the threat of localized flash flooding with these storms.

Timing: Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop after 300 PM and the threat will continue until around midnight tonight.
