Pedestrian & Bicycle Network Plan
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Network Plan is to serve as a guide for Whitemarsh Township in the creation of a network of sidepaths, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and other appropriate facilities to restore the ease and safety of walking and bicycling in the township.
The Whitemarsh Township Pedestrian and Bicycle Network Plan Steering Committee, including representative members from the
Board of Supervisors,
Planning Commission,
Open Space Committee,
Shade Tree Commission,
Parks and Recreation Board and the
Environmental Advisory Board began to prepare the Pedestrian and Bicycle Network Plan in May 2006. Following a public hearing, the Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors adopted the plan at their regularly scheduled public meeting on May 14, 2009, by Resolution 2009-21.
