UPDATED: OCTOBER 4, 2011: WATER COMPANY IMPOSTER BURGLARY

On October 4, 2011 at approximately 14:00 hours, Police were dispatched to a theft in the 100 block of Germantown Pike in the Plymouth Meeting section of Whitemarsh Township. The victim stated that two males with an olive complexion knocked on her door claiming to be from the water company and wanted to check her water. One male entered and had the victim turn on faucets in different areas of the house. The male then stated that he had a one hundred dollar bill and wated to give her a fifty dollar rebate if she could provide change. The second suspect entered the rear of the residence and stole over twenty three hundred dollars in cash and other items. The suspects fled in a silver or grey utility van.
