The Whitemarsh Township Parks & Recreation Department offers many different rental options to residents and non-residents. Information on all available facilities for rent is available below.

All rental prices are based on a two hour time slots. You are permitted one hour before and one hour after for set-up and clean-up. Please reference the fee schedule below for cost information. A certificate of insurance is also required for all rentals.

An entire park may NOT be rented; the Pavilion in Miles Park and the Cedar Grove Barn can be rented as well as other individual facilities within other parks in the Township. If you have specific questions regarding rentals or to arrange a site visit, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department during regular business hours or via email.

Cedar Grove Barn

Located at the intersection of Cedar Grove Road and Wells Street is the Cedar Grove Barn. The Barn is a two story building with the second floor available for rentals, with a maximum occupancy of approximately 100 people seated. There are two restrooms located on the second floor as well as a counter and sink area. There are no kitchen facility and refrigeration available. The Cedar Grove Barn is fully air conditioned and heated. The Cedar Grove Barn is handicapped accessible.

Miles Park Pavilion

Located at the intersection of Germantown Pike and Joshua Road, the Miles Park Pavilion is a covered pavilion with open sides. The pavilion is equipped with 8 full-size picnic tables, two of which are handicapped accessible. Seating is provided for approximately 48 people. Additional table and chairs are available at an additional cost. The pavilion has no indoor facilities. There are three handicap accessible restrooms attached to the pavilion. A vending area for beverages is also available next to the pavilion.

Parks & Recreation Building

ALL-PURPOSE ROOM

The Parks & Recreation Building is located at 4021 Joshua Road, next to Miles Park. The Recreation Building features an all-purpose room that is used for various Township programs throughout the year. Although availability is very limited due to use by the Township, the room is available for rent when not in use. The all-purpose room can hold up to 150 persons standing.

SMALL MEETING ROOM

The meeting room fits 15 to 20 people seated with tables. The meeting room is set up with tables and chairs, and also features a large dry erase board.

Permit for Grilling in Township Parks

Whitemarsh does not provide grills to use in Township Parks, but those that are renting a Whitemarsh Park Facility can submit an application for a Permit for Grilling to bring and use BBQ grills in the Township Park.

A Permit for Grilling can be obtained from the Township Fire Marshal's Office by submitting a completed application with the required fee of $25.00, accompanied by a copy of the rental permit issued by the Parks & Recreation Department. The Fire Marshal's Office is located in the administration building located at 616 Germantown Pike.

Permit for Alcohol on Township Property

Alcohol is NOT permitted in any of the Township parks. However, a permit for alcohol is available for indoor rental facilities. Please fill out the section for alcohol permit in the facilities rental application packet and submit it to the Parks & Recreation Department with the appropriate fees and deposits for an alcohol permit.
