If you are interested in coming out to Township day next year and participating in the event as a Crafter, Vendor, Emergency Service, Restaurant or Business, we would gladly welcome you. The summer Entertainment series features a movie or a concert every Friday evening starting June 18th, 2010, all the way through August 27, 2010. All entertainment is free of charge. All series take place in Miles Park, located at the intersection of Germantown Pike and Joshua Road.
Movies in the park start at dusk, approxamatley 9:00 P.M. The movies in the park take place on the upper field directly in front of the Parks & Recreation Building. The movie is reverse projected onto our giant inflatable movie screen. It is recomended that you bring a beach blanket or a portable chair for your viewing pleasure. The Parks & Recreation Department also reccomends that you bring some type of insect repelent. The Parks & Recreation Department also runs a concession stand featuring, Pop Corn, Hotdogs, Candy, Icecream and Beverages.
Concerts in the park start at 7:00 P.M. The Concerts in the park take under the Miles Park Pavilion. The concerts last approxamatley two hours. It is recomended that you bring a beach blanket or a portable chair for your viewing pleasure. The Parks & Recreation Department also reccomends that you bring some type of insect repelent. The Parks & Recreation Department also sells icecream and water for this event.
For each individual Entertainment series you can click on the event name for more information. For all movies, you will be able to obtain a synopsis of the movie and the movie poster. For each concert you will be re-directed off the Parks & Recreations website to that performers website.
