Whitemarsh Township Parks & Recreation operates year round offering programming and special events to the residents of Whitemarsh Towship and the surrounding areas. The Recreation Department relies on the assistance of part time staff and volunteers to make these programs and special events a success.

Program Supervisor

Whitemarsh Township Department of Parks & Recreation is currently accepting applications for a Program Supervisor. This position will oversee various recreation programs within the department. These programs serve residents of all ages. Experience recommended but not necessary; competitive pay. Some nights and weekends are required. Camp Counselor

Applicants should have some experience working at a camp. Applicants must also have experience working with children and should be dependable and enthusiastic with good customer service skills. Cedar Grove Camp runs from 8:30 A.M.—4:30 P.M. Miles Park camp runs 8:30-4:15. Cedar Grove Camp, as well as Miles Park Camp have three different shifts. Teen Camp runs 8:30-4:15 Monday through Friday. Applicants must be available seven out of the nine weeks of camp to be considered for this position. Concession Staff

It is preferred that applicants have some experience in food service and must have a good sense of customer service. Applicants should be dependable and enthusiastic. Weekend and weeknight work is required. The concession stand opens with limited hours in March through May. The stand will be in full operation the months of June through August. Support Staff

Applicants should have some work experience. Applicants must have a good sense of customer service. Applicants must be versatile and able to work in a camp setting or a concession stand setting. Applicant should be dependable and enthusiastic. Weekend and night work is required about every three weeks. This position is for candidates who are not available the entire nine weeks of camp and for applicants who wish to work as staff in all areas of the Parks & Recreation Department. Counselor in Training (C.I.T.)

This position is for interested applicants who wish to become a camp counselor in the near future. This program will teach applicants the functions & job duties of a camp counselor while volunteering in our camp system. Applicants will work side by side with our camp staff performing the same job duties. All applicants will receive a mentor for the entire summer. Applicants must have a good sense of customer service. Applicants must be versatile and able to work in a camp setting.
