Whitemarsh Township Parks & Recreation operates year round offering programming and special events to the residents of Whitemarsh Township. The Recreation Department relies on the assistance of part time staff and volunteers to make these programs and special events a success.

VOLUNTEER OPPURTUNITIES

GENERAL HIRING INFO

All applicants must fill out an Application for Employment, and go through the Recreation Departments interview process. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age. All applicants must also submit to a drug screening test once hiring takes place. All applicants must also have CPR and AED certification. If you do not have these certifications you will have 6 months to complete this training through the Township. SWIMMING INSTRUCTORS

Whitemarsh Township Parks & Recreation is currently seeking qualified individuals to work as Swimming Instructors. Applicant should be dependable and enthusiastic and have good customer service skills. Learn to Swim runs September through December and March through June. WE WILL TRAIN. NO SWIMMING EXPERIENCE NEEDED. All applicants should submit an Application for Employment by 8/27/10 to be considered for Fall 2010 Employment. EOE. LIFEGUARDS

Whitemarsh Township Parks & Recreation is currently seek qualified individuals to work as Lifeguards. All guards start at $8.00 an hour. Applicants must be available some Fridays and Saturday Mornings. Applicants must have current Lifeguarding and C.P.R. Certifications and will be required to show proof upon hiring.
