FILE of LIFE
Learn how participating in our File of Life program can save your life, or the life of someone you care about. Click HERE.
First responders to emergency calls are crucial in any town. In addition to Whitemarsh Township Police, there are three fire companies and one EMS squad, comprising paid and volunteer personnel expertly trained to provide life-saving help when you need it.
In addition to putting out fires and aiding the sick or injured, we provide the community:
Become involved in your area's fire company or paramedic squad. Volunteer and receive the best training around. Donate to our fund drives and participate in our community activities. Above all …
Obey all laws, including fire and safety-specific laws (read our feature on grill safety)
Plan and practice a home fire escape route
Know the dangers of storm water
Change smoke detector batteries at least twice a year (click HERE if you need a free smoke detector installed in your home, or know of someone who does)
Participate in the Whitemarsh Township File of Life program. It's free, and allows our first responders to know rapidly the medical conditions of people needing us. Read the feature, and contact Fire Marshal Calvin Bonenberger [EMAIL] or Community Services Coordinator Mike Zeock [EMAIL] for more information, at (610) 825-3535.
