Q. WHAT'S THE BEST AND FASTEST WAY TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT?
A. First, schedule an appointment with the Zoning Officer and the Building Inspector to discuss your planned project. You are encouraged to have such a meeting BEFORE you hire a contractor OR execute a contract OR submit a permit application OR spend any money, including a deposit, as there is no cost to meet with appropriate Township personnel. You'll be guided through the permit process and obtain a better understanding of what Code regulations will affect your project in what manner and may discover options to speed-up the permit application, review and approval process.
