Here comes the Fourth!

WhitemarshTownshipand the Whitemarsh Lions Club are planning a greatFourth of July parade, starting at 10 a.m.,beginning at Barren Hill Fire Company and running all the way to Miles Park.

Featured will be classic cars, floats, the bike brigade, and town leaders.Look for hot dogs, birch beer and prizes at the end of the route in Miles Park - all for free.

Lions Club member Celine Childs and Whitemarsh Twp. community service coordinator Mike Zeock have put together an assortment of musical bands, including the Fandango Percussion Ensemble, the Irish American String Band, the Washington Memorial Pipe Band and the Paddlewheel Strutters.

Since a hot day is forecast, the Whitemarsh Business Association is donating water for parade personnel and anyone else who needs it.

People wishing to have a float or any kind of presentation in the parade just need to show up at Barren Hill Fire Company that morning by 9 to register and get a number.
