Building Code Appeal Board
The BOCA Appeals Board consists of five residents appointed by the Board of Supervisors, serving overlapping five year terms. The duties of the BOCA Appeals Board are as follows:
- To hear appeals concerning a decision or interpretation made under the provisions of the Whitemarsh Township Building, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical codes.
- To determine the suitability of alternate materials and types of construction, and to interpret provisions of the Whitemarsh Township Building Codes.
- To review the Whitemarsh Township Building Codes in force; to review the present and projected policies and procedure of enforcement of such codes; and to review proposed revisions to said codes; to submit advice and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors and the Township Manager in any other way concerning the enforcement, provisions and administration of the Whitemarsh Township Building Codes.
