TRASH & RECYCLING: 

ELECTRONIC COLLECTION:
Wednesday, September 28.
The fall electronic collection event is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28. Residents are asked to leave electronics out on the front curb next to the yard waste for the Township Public Works crew pick up. Do not leave out electronics earlier than Tuesday evening. All electronics for collection must be out by 6 AM Wednesday, September 28. 


2016 FALL SHREDDING DAY:

Saturday, October 15, 8am to 12pm.
At Miles Park lower parking lot, from 8am to 12pm, or until two trucks are filled--whichever comes first. (Please do not arrive prior to 7:50 am). This free community event is sponsored by the Whitemarsh Township Parks & Recreation Department and Horizon Waste Services Inc.  For more information, visit www.whitemarshparks.org or call 610-828-7276. DEA PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE-BACK EVENT:
Saturday, October 22, 10:00am- 2:00 pm
Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal at the Whitemarsh Police Department -- no questions asked, no paperwork or forms to fill out. You may also drop-off your unused or expired medication anytime at the Drug Collection Box located at the Police station lobby. For more information, please click here.

COMMUNITY YARD SALE:

Saturday, October 1, 2016, 8:00am- 12:00pm @ Cedar Grove Park

Join us Saturday October 1st at Cedar Grove Park for our Community Yard Sale Event! Come out and browse through all the treasures. For more information, visit www.whitemarshparks.org or call 610-828-7276.

HAUNTED BARN:
October 21-22 and 28-29, 7:00pm- 9:30pm @ Cedar Grove Park
This popular fall event brings a mixture of young and old wanting to get into the spirit of Halloween. Participants are given a guided tour by the crypt keeper through a number of haunted scenes on three floors of the Cedar Grove Barn. The Haunted Barn is geared for those ages 8 and older -- no refunds once entry is made.

Have a younger ghoul or goblin under 8 years old? The Haunted Barn will also be open for family hour on Friday, October 28, from 6pm to 7pm --  visitors may pass through before it comes to life in the darkness!

Admission is $7.00 at the door or $5.00 pre-purchase (attendees may pre-purchase wristbands at the P&R office at Koontz Park, 2391 Harts Ln, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444). Visit the P&R page or see the flyer for more information.


TEENIE HALLOWEENIE

Tuesday, October 25, 10:00am - 12:00pm @ the Parks & Rec Building (Koontz Park)
This Halloween event is geared for preschool children to enjoy games, crafts, music, and treats. Come in costume for a spooktacular good time! Admission is $5.00 per child at the door. Visit the P&R page or see the flyer for more information.


COUNTY PROJECT:

CROSS-COUNTY & WISSAHICKON TRAIL CONNECTOR PROJECT MEETING:
September 29, 2016, 6 PM to 7:30 PM at the Township Building
Montgomery County invites you to attend a meeting regarding the Cross County & Wissahickon Trail Connector Project along Erdenheim Farm in Whitemarsh and Springfield Townships. An updated alignment of the trail will be presented with preliminary design drawings.  Visit the Township website or see flyer for more information.



ROAD RESTRICTIONS & PROJECTS:


W. MILL ROAD
W. Mill Road between Stenton Ave and Grove Ave. will be closed from 9 am to 3 PM, Monday to Friday starting Monday, October 3, 2016 with a completion date near the end of 2016. This will be a full closure of W. Mill Road for time periods during the project. School buses will have access but other access may be limited depending on the day - Aqua will keep local police informed daily of roadway access. Questions can be directed to the Aqua Customer Service Department at 1-877-987-2782.

The Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors receives the assistance of various Boards and Commissions in the operations of the Township. The various Boards/Commissions are staffed by citizen volunteers who commit hours of their personal time and bring their talents and skills to the Township Government.
