AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE:

Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Township Building (616 Germantown Pike). Sign up to donate at www.redcross.org and type in Whitemarsh Township to find the Dec. 26 drive. Donors will receive a free long-sleeve American Red Cross shirt (while supplies last!).

CONDITIONAL USE #06-17; K. HOVNANIAN, LLC/4006 AND 4046 BUTLER PIKE

The Board of Supervisors at their meeting on Thursday, October 25th voted 4-0 to approve the above referenced Conditional Use application with 22 conditions. Attached is the copy of the approved Resolution as well as the Decision and Order:

SPOTTED LANTERNFLY CANVASSING

HOLIDAY TRASH & RECYCLING COLLECTION SCHEDULE


There is no collection on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
When your trash and recyclables collection day falls on a holiday, your trash and recyclables will be collected on the Wednesday of that week in the affected district, and yard waste moved to Saturday for everyone. If you are unsure of your property's collection day), check the Township Trash Collection District Map (PDF).

ROAD CLOSURES & PROJECTS

Intersection Improvements:


  • Road Closure on Stenton Avenue: Stenton Avenue is scheduled to be closed on Wednesday, December 5th between Joshua Road and Flourtown road. Detour signs are posted. This is part of the intersection improvement project that will create new designated left turn lanes on Stenton Avenue and designated right hand turn lane on Flourtown Road. This section will be closed approximately 6 weeks to complete the work. Local access will not be restricted from the Joshua Road onto Stenton Avenue.

Montgomery County Road and Bridges has announced the following road closure updates for Butler Pike and W. Valley Green Bridge:


PECO has announced the following road closure updates:

  • Center Avenue Area: Electrical box replacement project is expected to start at the beginning of October 2018 and will last until November 22nd. Please stay alert for any potential road closures or detours.

Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. has announced a water main replacement on the following streets in Conshohocken and Whitemarsh:


  • Hallowell Street between E. 13th Avenue and E. 12th Avenue
  • E. 12th Avenue between Hallowell Street and Righter Street
  • Jones Street between E. 12th Avenue and E. 13th Avenue
  • E. 13th Avenue between Jones Street and Pine Street
The project is scheduled to begin the week of October 1, 2018 with completion expected in December 2018. Construction will take place week days between 7AM and 3PM. Any questions please contact Aqua at 215-659-2505 ext. 56005. 

Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc, has announced the follow road closures:


  • Hector Street: weekdays between North Lane and Cedar Grove Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, October 29, for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. Weather permitting, the closure will be in place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through the end of March.
