Duties

The Emergency Services Board assists in the provisions of primarily volunteer emergency services in the Township. The Emergency Services Board proposes amendments to the Board of Supervisors, regarding the Township’s adopted Fire Code, Ordinances and regulations.  The Emergency Services Board also advises the Board of Supervisors from time to time on all matters involving the provisions of volunteer emergency services in the Township.

Membership on the Emergency Services Board consists of 5 representatives from Township residents (4 permanent and 1 alternate, who may not be a member of a Whitemarsh Township volunteer emergency agency), the Chief and President from both the Barren Hill and Spring Mill Volunteer Fire Co’s. and the Whitemarsh Community Ambulance, the Fire Marshal, the Chief of Police, the Township Manager and a Board of Supervisor.
